The Personalized Pathways at East High School is a system of specialized education for incoming freshmen and will continue for classes to come.
Each Personalized Pathway exists around a specific interest and core idea. It prepares students for the specific career interest they want to pursue after their graduation. The head coordinator for pathways is Ms. Annie Potter. Ms. Potter explained that Pathways is a small learning community including a tight knit group of peers that students will stick with throughout their four years in high school. Currently, Pathways has 118 freshman students.
As of now, there is only one Pathway: healthcare. Ms. Potter explained that it will hopefully expand in years to come so that there can be other careers available in the pathways program.
